The Connection

  • Williams Center 15 Sylvan Street Rutherford, NJ, 07070 United States (map)

One of the first films directed by a woman of the New American Film Movement and one of first-ever found-footage films, The Connection sees a group of heroin addicts anxiously awaiting for their next fix to be delivered. The film highlights drug addiction with piercing honesty in gorgeous black and white cinematography, accompanied by memorable performances by pianist Freddie Redd and saxophonist Jackie McLean.
