Featured on Billboard, People & NBC’s The Voice; Season 24’s Top 9 Semifinalist, Nini Iris, is coming to perform at the Williams Center [Rivoli Theater] in Rutherford, NJ on Friday, November 15th. Nini Iris astounded millions with her haunting rendition of Billie Eilish's "No Time To Die", a power ballad version of The Cure's "Lovesong" and wowed audiences and fans with a show stopping cover of Radiohead's "Karma Police".

Born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia; Nini Iris grew up in a household that enjoyed listening to only traditional Georgian folk music. While living in Georgia, she auditioned and performed for Georgia’s XFactor and The Voice, where she placed as a Top 3 finalist. Almost a decade later, she auditioned for NBC’s The Voice and placed in the Top 9 of all contestants. While on the show, Nini gained her US citizenship and in less than 1 year later, was honored to sing the National Anthem as a new citizen at the first home game for the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Detroit Lions for over 70,000 fans. Nini Iris’ unique writing and singing style delivers an "old world" charm combined with dark textured overtones, with an aggressive pop edge. Every one of Nini's performances are personal and powerful. Nini's eclectic songwriting and powerhouse vocals leaves fans and listeners at dizzy heights.

Opening for Nini Iris is artist Paloma Dineli Chesky.

Paloma is a unique young artist, Brazilian-American, she is not only a powerful performer that dominates the stage and electrifies her audience, but she is also an incredible songwriter. Critics rave: "Thrilling, Exciting And Amazingly Attractive Force" (Blues 21.com) "A Voice That Could Stop Traffic" (Steve Hard from Just Jazz) "The Vocal Phenomenon"(Broadway World), Bob Legget (LA Music Critic) praises: "Her Music Shows Maturity Way Past her Years" Despite her youth, Paloma's vocal maturity is astonishing. Singing, playing piano, and composing from a very early age, for several years Paloma has performed her own compositions with the New York Philharmonic and has held solo concerts at leading NYC venues such as City Winery, Birdland and, Dizzy's Club. Her first album, Thirteen, concentrated on her original compositions, and on her second album, Soul on Soul she demonstrates the breadth of her repertoire, reaching back into the gospel, blues, and soul traditions performing the songs of Robert Johnson, Reverend Gary Davis, James Brown, and Bob Dylan. Paloma’s sometimes gritty delivery ensures that her interpretations of lyrics are wholly in keeping with the soulful origins of the music. Paloma is a fierce performer, her presence on stage is absolutely contagious! A fun fact; Paloma is the youngest performer to headline shows at iconic New York venues such as Birdland and City Winery. Paloma is currently producing and experimenting with new styles and currently has an EP on the way.

Office Hours: A Roundtable Discussion for Rounding Out Ideas

Williams Center Presents:

'Office Hours: A Roundtable Discussion for Rounding Out Ideas'

Do you feel like you have an idea for a script / book / poem / song, and you just don't know how to get it off the ground? Or maybe you have a completed piece of work, and you simply want another person to give some honest feedback?

We proudly present "Office Hours," an open-door, collaborative forum that helps each member work through the ideation, creation, and revisions of their latest artistic endeavor! It's a bi-weekly, two hour session where you can bring anything to the table, and you'll be met with full attention and constructive feedback.

To clarify, it is a group built on kindness, open-mindedness and timeliness — while everyone will have a chance to comment on each other's work, there will be proper guidelines and time constraints to give everyone a chance to share (more on that later). And to further clarify, you do not have to bring something for every session. Come and go as you please, and feel free to be in the room without the caveat of something you're working on.

All in all, we want this to feel like a meeting place for creatives who just want to be around other working creatives. While the focus might lean towards screenwriting or prose, we are open to all kinds of art, and this group will morph with time and experience.

Consider this your opportunity to get some work done — and let us help you get it there!

The boisterous and bawdy finale to Pasolini’s trilogy is based on Geoffrey Chaucer’s medieval masterpiece, using the collection of its characters' stories to capture the rawness of human existence with the director’s signature blend of both the sacred and the profane. The film’s depictions of medieval life make for a perfect vehicle for the director’s critique of societal hypocrisy that is as thought-provoking as it is wildly entertaining. The colorful conclusion to the trilogy highlights Pasolini’s singular vision of life, using folk stories of the distant past to show his audiences that no matter how far backward or forward in.

It's A Wonderful Life

George Bailey has spent his entire life giving of himself to the people of Bedford Falls. He has always longed to travel but never had the opportunity in order to prevent rich skinflint Mr. Potter from taking over the entire town. All that prevents him from doing so is George's modest building and loan company, which was founded by his generous father. But on Christmas Eve, George's Uncle Billy loses the business's $8,000 while intending to deposit it in the bank. Mr. Potter finds the misplaced money and hides it from Uncle Billy. When the bank examiner discovers the shortage later that night, George realizes that he will be held responsible and sent to jail and the company will collapse, finally allowing Mr. Potter to take over the town. Thinking of his wife, Mary, their four children, and others he loves will be better off with him dead, he contemplates suicide. But the prayers of his loved ones result in his guardian angel named Clarence Odbody coming to Earth to help him, with the promise of earning his wings. He shows him what things would have been like if he had never been born.

South Study Special Aide

South Study Special Aide

Doors 7pm / Show 8pm

South Study Special Aide is the solo project of New Jersey based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Kazim Zaidi, whose obsession with one-man music making has driven him nearly to madness since age 11. “It started with one of those little hand-held tape recorders my dad would use to dictate notes for work. But once I discovered multi-tracking, it became an obsession."

Catch him after 10 hours in his makeshift mixing suite, dark rings encircling his eyes, and he’s more than happy to wax poetic about his patron saints: Mac Demarco, Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, Jobim. That is, musicians who make entire records, or at least do much of the heavy lifting, all by themselves.

His first full-length was released in July and includes performances by Rugburn hardslop guitarist Josh Seigel, Broadway bassist Graham Kozack, and flutist Morgan Ulrich. The pendulum swings on several axes, from old school dance funk a la Nile Rodgers, to lo-fi bedroom pop, to country-tinged tales of regret and longing. Constant throughout are his unexpectedly feminine croon, whispery falsetto, and dense, reverb-drenched textures.

Logan Bogdan and Luke Guinta have joined the band as full-time members. "There’s no real path for making a career in music, but having people around to remind you that what you do matters is absolutely invaluable."

Kazim is currently working on his second record and plans to begin releasing singles this year and the full LP next.
