Battle of the Generations : A Family Game Show

Battle of the Generations : A Family Game Show

Game Show – Battle of the Generations: A Family Game Show 🎤👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Step into a hilarious clash of the ages with “Battle of the Generations”, the ultimate live family game show hosted by the quick-witted comedian Boris Khaykin!

This high-energy, interactive show pits members of the audience against each other in teams divided by generation, each team represent one generation—Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, Boomers, and beyond—for a night of laughs, surprises, and friendly competition.

How It Works:

Audience members are called to the stage to form two teams - different generations. The goal? Prove which generation truly reigns supreme! The competition consists of four entertaining phases, designed to test wits, pop culture knowledge, and generational wisdom:

Phase 1: "Terms"

Each team gets a term or phrase popular in another generation (e.g., "on fleek," "groovy," or "yuppie").

Teams must guess or explain the meaning and use it in a sentence. Bonus points for creativity and comedic delivery!

Phase 2: "Pop Culture Showdown"

Each team answers trivia questions or identifies music, movies, and TV shows from other generations.

Examples: Perform a famous dance after seeing the other team do it once: Example Macarena dance

Recognize a photo (Good person or bad person ) example – is the an actor or serial killer?

Phase 3: "Skills & Stereotypes"

A hands-on round where contestants perform tasks stereotypically associated with different generations.

Example challenges: Tik Tok vs Email or try recreating a viral TikTok dance.

Jokes: Each group tells a joke of their own generation and tries to make the other team laugh.

Phase 4: "Comedy Roast Battle"

Each team picks a “comedy champion” to go head-to-head in a mini stand-up comedy showdown – roasting the other generation - with the help of Boris, contestants perform 1-2 minutes of stand-up, either roasting the other team’s generation or sharing funny stories about their own.

Thanks a lot segment: Each generation blames the other - " Hey Thanks a lot for …. ...

Boris Khaykin keeps the laughs rolling by judging performances and adding his own witty commentary. Bonus points for audience applause!

Why You Shouldn’t Miss It:

Laugh-Out-Loud Fun: Boris Khaykin brings his signature humor to every round, keeping the energy high and the laughs rolling.

Audience Participation: Every show is unique because YOU are the star!

All Ages Welcome: Perfect for families, friends, and anyone who loves a good-natured battle of wits.

Tickets: $5 admission

Where: The Den at The Williams Center

When: Saturday 12.21 at 7:00 pm

It's A Wonderful Life

George Bailey has spent his entire life giving of himself to the people of Bedford Falls. He has always longed to travel but never had the opportunity in order to prevent rich skinflint Mr. Potter from taking over the entire town. All that prevents him from doing so is George's modest building and loan company, which was founded by his generous father. But on Christmas Eve, George's Uncle Billy loses the business's $8,000 while intending to deposit it in the bank. Mr. Potter finds the misplaced money and hides it from Uncle Billy. When the bank examiner discovers the shortage later that night, George realizes that he will be held responsible and sent to jail and the company will collapse, finally allowing Mr. Potter to take over the town. Thinking of his wife, Mary, their four children, and others he loves will be better off with him dead, he contemplates suicide. But the prayers of his loved ones result in his guardian angel named Clarence Odbody coming to Earth to help him, with the promise of earning his wings. He shows him what things would have been like if he had never been born.

Working with a ghostwriter, Ira reflects on his life as he puts his traumatic childhood experiences and complicated personal relationships into prose. Tropic Thunder Film Screening

As part of the Williams Center Comedy Festival, we’re celebrating classic comedy films with a twist: every night, we’re showcasing a comedy movie that couldn’t be made today! Tonight, get ready for the uproarious and controversial hit Tropic Thunder, starring Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., and Tom Cruise.

When: Thursday 12.19

Show Times: 6:30 pm and 7:45 pm

Where: Movie Theater 2 and 3 at the Williams Center

Admission: $15

About the Movie:

While shooting a war film, the director of Tropic Thunder tries to spice things up by dropping the lead actors into a real jungle, claiming he’s capturing their performance with hidden cameras. What follows is a wild and hilarious disaster as a group of hapless actors—including a drug-addled comedy star (Jack Black), a self-absorbed method actor (Robert Downey Jr.), and a clueless director (Ben Stiller)—unwittingly find themselves stuck in the middle of a real war zone. This sharp satire, which takes aim at Hollywood egos, absurdities, and cultural sensitivities, is as outrageous as it is funny—but it’s a movie that, in today’s climate, simply couldn’t be made.

Tropic Thunder Film Screening

Don’t Miss This Classic Comedy Night!

Office Hours: A Roundtable Discussion for Rounding Out Ideas

Williams Center Presents:

'Office Hours: A Roundtable Discussion for Rounding Out Ideas'

Do you feel like you have an idea for a script / book / poem / song, and you just don't know how to get it off the ground? Or maybe you have a completed piece of work, and you simply want another person to give some honest feedback?

We proudly present "Office Hours," an open-door, collaborative forum that helps each member work through the ideation, creation, and revisions of their latest artistic endeavor! It's a bi-weekly, two hour session where you can bring anything to the table, and you'll be met with full attention and constructive feedback.

To clarify, it is a group built on kindness, open-mindedness and timeliness — while everyone will have a chance to comment on each other's work, there will be proper guidelines and time constraints to give everyone a chance to share (more on that later). And to further clarify, you do not have to bring something for every session. Come and go as you please, and feel free to be in the room without the caveat of something you're working on.

All in all, we want this to feel like a meeting place for creatives who just want to be around other working creatives. While the focus might lean towards screenwriting or prose, we are open to all kinds of art, and this group will morph with time and experience.

Consider this your opportunity to get some work done — and let us help you get it there!
