Director Ted Kotcheff brings to life an iconic character of the 1980s and the action genre: John Rambo, decorated Vietnam War veteran and former Green Beret with unmatched survival skills. Making his way to find a former squadmate in the sleepy Washington town of Hope, he finds himself at odds with the cruel town Sheriff Teasel, quickly escalating into a one man war as Rambo must escape his pursuers while his former commanding officer Colonel Trautmann attempts to help both parties stay alive.
